The Office for Harmonization in the Internal Market (OHIM)

The OHIM will therefore consider potential recruitment of interested candidates who are inscribed on a valid list of Contract Agents (CAST) maintained by EPSO, for the following function groups:
– Function Group II
– Function Group III
– Function Group IV.

Under the supervision of officials or temporary staff, the contract agents will carry out:
Function Group II:
Specific clerical and secretarial tasks, office management and other equivalent tasks in support of procedures related to the activities of a public administration IP Office, in accordance with specific rules, procedures and quality standards.
Function Group III:
Executive tasks, drafting, project implementation and other equivalent technical tasks in support of procedures related to the activities of a public administration IP Office, in accordance with specific rules, procedures and quality standards.
Function Group IV:
Administrative, advisory linguistic and equivalent technical tasks in support of the activities of a public administration IP Office, in accordance with given rules, procedures and quality standards.

Duties applicable to all staff:
- Actively work towards the achievement of the goals of the OHIM in accordance with the Office’s Strategic Plan
- Perform any other work-related duties and responsibilities that may be assigned by the Line Manager.

The OHIM will consider as most suitable profiles those including:
• A good knowledge of standard MS-Office tools and ability to work with a wide range of IT tools.
• Ability to draft administrative documents and notes
• Ability to apply legal framework and existing rules
• Experience in European Public Administration.

Candidates must have a thorough knowledge of English or German (minimum level B2 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages) and a working knowledge of another official language of the European Union or Croatian, in view of enlargement.
In order to make sure you comply with these criteria, please indicate your level in accordance with an officially recognized certificate.

The recruitment will be proposed for a definite period. The initial contract is for 2 years, with a possibility for extension for a maximum of 2 additional years, depending on the needs of the Office. The place of work will be Alicante, Spain.

- The exact reference of the CAST list on which you are a successful candidate,
- Your EPSO candidate number and
- The date of validity of the CAST list
Expressions of interest must arrive at OHIM via Internet using the OHIM e-recruitment tool. The Office does not accept expressions of interest by any means other than online application, save in the case of disabled candidates (please see point 7 of the present document).
The e-recruitment procedure consists in filling out an electronic form available at: https://service.oami.europa.eu/erecruitment/la/en_form.cfm and attaching your CV. You must indicate an e-mail address, as the Office will send all communications to candidates by e-mail.

Please attach a full CV to the form. It is recommended to use the Europass CV template in one of the languages of the Office (EN, DE, FR, ES, IT).
It is not obligatory to insert a photograph. The CV shall give the exact dates (day/month/year) of obtaining any diploma(s) and exact start and end dates (day/month/year) of any professional experience claimed as well as an indication of the total full-time equivalent in years/months. Accurate description of the activities performed will help in the screening. In case of part-time professional experience, the number of hours worked per week shall be indicated. Candidates are requested to provide in their CV at least three names and contact details of previous employers as the Office carries out reference checks as part of the selection process. Refusal to provide the references may lead to the exclusion of the candidate from the procedure of call for interest.
The CV must be in .doc or .rtf format and should not exceed 512KB in size. In case of discrepancies between the information contained in the e-recruitment tool and the CV, the information indicated in the CV will prevail.
Any statement of motivation for applying to the post included in the CV will be considered at the stage of screening of the curricula vitae.
On completion of the online form, an application number will appear on the screen. This number confirms that the expression of interest has been submitted. Candidates are advised to keep this number and quote it on all correspondence with the Office.
The date and the time at which the application form is received electronically by the Office’s server shall be used as proof of the date of submission.
The content as published in the present notice of call for interest will prevail on the information disclosed or transcribed on any other media.
If at any stage in the procedure, it is established that the information on the electronic form or in the CV is incorrect, the candidate may be disqualified from the procedure.
